And a New York visit is not complete without seeing the Lady Liberty. That’s what we thought and purchased the tickets to go see the quintessential sculpture that guards the New York Harbor. From the ferry we enjoyed some fabulous views over the city. If you have been following my trip to New York City, then you already know that the weather wasn’t very nice; however, it didn’t stop us from exploring the most iconic places of NYC. If you love history, and even if you don’t, Liberty Island is a stop you might want to consider when visiting “Big Apple”. Why? Well, because during this short trip you find out why and how the statue became such an important attribute to this nation, as well as some interesting facts about its construction and history by using a self-guided audio tour, which is included with each ferry ticket. Also, you can just walk around, take some pictures, and enjoy majestic panoramic views of the city. From Liberty Island we continued our journey to Ellis Island, which was the gateway for millions of immigrants to the United States of America. After the museum tour the ferry took us back to the city where we have spend the rest of our time.
See you next time, Victoria V.
