tulips garden

A couple of years ago, while still living in Belgium, I heard about this amazing place that displays millions of colorful tulips. I’ve heard that the tulips fields are stretching till the horizon, and colorful rows are as far as you can see. Also, I’ve heard about this garden where you can stroll and enjoy the mesmerizing tulips. Well, all I’ve heard it is true.

This year, finally, I visited it myself, and it was a lovely experience. You understand that you are getting closer to Keukenhof garden as soon as you start to see more and more tulips on the fields.  Yellow, red, pink, a colorful sea of flowers.

Once in the gardens, your eyes are switching from one flower to another. You almost hear them whispering “Look at me, look at me.”

We took about two and a half hours to walk the entire garden, but we could definitely spend more time in that little flower paradise.

The garden is very well maintained, and beautifully decorated. Also, there are benches everywhere, where you can sit and admire the gorgeous surroundings.

The amount of colors and flowers in this beautiful spring garden is a happiness stimulator. It is almost impossible not to appreciate the aesthetics of this place, plus the bouquet of spring scent will assure you the best aromatherapy.

Before leaving the gardens, there is a shop where you can get souvenirs and different little things which are tulips shaped. Also, they sell bulbs that you can plant in your garden, and voilà, you have your own beautiful spring corner.

The gardens are open every year between end of March and beginning of May, so plan to pay a visit. You will enjoy it, I promise. Also, other notorious cities like Amsterdam, Windmills of Kinderdijk, and Delft are not far away, so you could even organize a small weekend road-trip.

See you soon darlings,
